JNB -> SYD in F

I'm looking for the best possible redemption on this route. Here's what I'm thinking:

1. Emirates. It would be on a 777 to DXB and a380 to SYD. Best of both worlds, as I understand the 777 F has half the F seats of the a380, so more personal attention. And a380 because shower.

2. Etihad. I could take apartments from AUH to SYD, but it would be 8hrs of J from JNB to AUH. I really want to fly the apartments. I've flown SQ Suites, so I feel like flying EY apartments would be more fun than EK since their suites are similar (except no double bed).

3. Cathay Pacific. I could take this routing which is a hell of a lot more hours, but that doesn't bother me. I already have a plan for CX F on the return to the US, so I'd need to figure out another great product to take instead. Also, not sure if AA would let me do this routing...

CX is easy enough to book, but Emirates and Etihad seem very difficult, especially for two people. I have time though, so maybe this won't be an issue if I'm watching for months.

I have plenty of points to do all this for 2 people. Ready to burn em all for this trip.
