1 year old crying stressing me out
Hi Parents,
I am a stay-at-home mom and my lo clings to me and cries when I do things other than play with her or walk her around in her stroller. I have a hard time managing my life and home because it's hard to concentrate with someone screaming at me. I think I've spoiled her by holding her and distracting her whenever she cries or whines. I love her and it kills me when she cries. It's been going on to long to be teeth (I think). My dh plays with her for like 1 hour a day and otherwise is at work or nowhere to be found. I also don't have any other parent friends who live close to me. It seems like everyone I know have jobs, get more help from their husband and use daycare. The only parenting group in my area costs money and is run by the catholic women's group.
Question 1: Are there any other stay-at-home moms out there who have a clingy baby who have difficulty managing the logistics of life? Or is this a problem everyone has? Give me life hacks, encouragement, etc. Parent groups? Daycare? I feel like I wasn't always this helpless.
Question 2: How to fix baby? What training techniques am I doing wrong? Like, she can't control her emotions and has a tantrum. I have to be patient and calmly teach her how to control her behavior. But she gets sad if she has to play alone for more than 5 minutes, and then I comfort her, and she's learned that she just has to scream really hysterically and I come and entertain her. She's trained a slave. D: So if I need to make a meal and look at a pan for a minute or go in the shower or something, she screams bloody murder until I am done and can look at her again. It's extreme. I feel like I am doing a terrible job and giving her an unrealistic expectation of reality.
I feel like the two questions would both solve each other. I hope this post makes sense, I am tired.
