INFJs and therapy.
I'm 21F INFJ and just started my first real course of psychotherapy a few weeks ago for my depression/anxiety.
I wanted to gather some thoughts on the subject and see if anyone could relate since I struggle to get my head around it. Basically, whenever I'm talking to my therapist I feel like I'm trying so hard to word things in a way which means he will understand how I'm feeling. While he's gathered a few patterns, I feel like his conclusions fall short.
The only time I've found myself becoming openly emotional during a session was when I was trying to explain to him how frustrating it is to not be able to articulate how I feel when I hit my lows or why I feel that way. Every time I come out from a session I try so hard to pick apart what was discussed, but it all just seems like a blur. Like I was word vomiting pointless things and I'll never be able to dig down into the nitty gritty part of my brains where all of this stuff is hiding.
Can anyone relate to any of this?
