Food for thought: Base Case Scenario for District0x or any other CC

Lets imagine EVERYTHING happens exactly as planned, as discussed in further detail on the district0x white papers. The end result is a thriving environment that solves more problems than it creates. Users are making money, while helping keep the ecosystem alive, healthy, and growing. Users are also finding an immense amount of value from these ecosystems. So in the end, district0x would have hypothetically created an entity that operates in ways as a company in the world today would.

My question is, if these [ICOs] are continually successful, what is stopping any start-up from adopting this form of funding permanently (as opposed to angel investing or VC) in the future on a wider scale?

Are we really living in a moment of the early days of what the future will ultimately look like?
