Knowing your clients and scope of practice <rant>

I belong to many esthetics groups on FB. They are the most frustrating places.

Understand that you have a scope of practice. Understand that you will have clients that fall outside of that scope that need medical treatment you cannot provide.

Most acne has no connection to diet, with the exception of food allergies.

Don't tell people lies and skin care myths like, lemon juice cures acne!

I honestly am embarrassed most days to read that absolute woo-crap that is posted in those groups!!

You can't always "cure" acne with regular facials and TTO, for crying out loud. Chronic acne is terrible and you can actually be prolonging their suffering. For what? To make money? To make them feel worse?

OMG. The misinformation out there hurts my head.
