[MAIN SPOILERS] Theory time about Gilly

Well not as much as a theory, but wondering.

Would the White Walkers have different behaviour if they ever around Gilly (which is a sister to most of them)? Not recognising her or anything obviously, but feeling the blood relation or perhaps the blood relation itself prevents then from harming her?

Could Gilly be instrumental in defeating the White Walkers in the upcoming season? Thoughts?
