With hidden navbar, pressing the virtual home button triggers touch action in open app

So, I usually have the navbar hidden on my S8, since you can use the virtual home button at any time to get back to the launcher. However, I noticed that most app will react to the touch action as well.

For example, if I use Sync Pro in full screen and I press the virtual home button, it opens a link the comments of a post, because it happens to be in the same area as the home button.

Does anyone know how to prevent that?
