Very Disappointed and Concerned
I am a huge fan of, and frequent listener of Ben Greenfield's fitness podcast ... until recently. His latest podcast was an all-out rave review of ... you guessed it, kratom. This guy is usually a critical thinker, analyzing all sides of issues and supplements. Not this time. He, and his guest, who is Likely affiliated with a large kratom company, raved about all of the wonderful aspects of kratom, glossing over any mention of addiction, and proclaiming dry-mouth as the only side-effect as "dry mouth," all the while using the "all-natural" and "just like coffee" syllogisms. Although Ben is not an addict, he made a remark about how he keeps some on his nightstand as a great cure for when he wakes up with "racing thoughts". Sound familiar? Makes me wonder how far down the rabbit hole he has went. After hearing this episode, I just wonder how many thousands are going to go straight out and get hooked because this man, who has a large audience who hangs on his every word about supplements, did not do proper research. I left a comment, which went unanswered, but hopefully someone will see it and avoid another negative drug experience. If anyone wishes to make any comments on his site, I will shoot you the link, or you can easily find it by searching bengreenfield kratom.
