[build help] Thinking about upgrading

Build Help

Hello guys,

I mostly only use my PC to play: Elite: Dangerous (with and without HTC Vive), Doom, Deus Ex : Human Revolution, Diablo 3, that kind of games in 1440p @120Hz/144Hz. This is my current build:

The i5-4670k is really great but shows its limits in ED (85/95% PCU activity) and possibly in Doom too (not sure, but saw the H80i GT pump's temp rising >40°C when I tested the Vulcan API, didn't check the different cores).
I tried to overclock some times ago, but I messed up somewhere and it wasn't stable (bsod while playing ED). Once reverted, everything was fine.
While creating this parts list, I saw there was also a compatibility note concerning the RAM I have with my CPU... I let a friend talk me into buying that RAM without thinking about it too much, I'll have to check that.

PSU is "AKASA Venom Power 750W | Modular - ATX12V v2.3 - Active PFC - 135mm quiet fan", didn't find it on pcpartpicker. It was well noted back when I bought it.

Soooo, I'm kinda lost.
Mobo's kinda old now, CPU too, it's getting difficult to find a decent upgrade for that socket. i7 4th gen I saw were still crazy expensive.

I looked at the different build I saw on this sub and on the guides on pcpartpicker and made this list:

What do you guys think of it ? If I understood correctly, non-x Ryzen CPUs come with a decent cooler ? Is that correct ?
I might still be more comfortable with a "proper" CPU cooler. I saw many builds with non-AIO coolers, are they better than AIOs or mostly equivalent ?

The RAM does not appear on the motherboard QVP but I saw a post that said it works (with a somewhat reduced cadency though).

I'd like to change the case too, the NZXT s340 seems fine.
I'm still unsure about the window, I'm currently in a RGB phase :D Mostly I'd like a case with a good airflow and where everything is nicely put.

Concerning Windows 10, I think I still have a copy from when I was a student.

For the PSU, I don't know if I keep the one I have or change it.
