transaction too large workaround for dumdums like me.
Well, in my last post asking about this, people were just like "use coinb.in or read the faq! I'm too dumb to do that so here. If anyone else runs into this junk, just do this:
-
In Doge core 1.10, go to options, wallet, and check 'enable coin control features.'
-
Then in the send window, click inputs.
-
The left column will have the number of junks you gotta consolidate. If it's over ~600 there will be too many bytes and your client will "transaction too large error" when you send coins.
-
Install autohotkey and save this to a file with the .ahk extension:
F9::
Send, {down}
Loop, 600
{
Send, {space}
send, {down}
}
Send, {enter}
return
-
if your number of records on the left is less than 600, change that in the script so it doesn't just keep hitting down and space when it doesn't need to. Then double click the .ahk file to run it. Anything less than 600ish should be able to send because of bytes and stuff.
-
in the inputs selection window, double click on the wallet address underneath "received with address"
-
then hit f9. It will hit down and space 600 times or however many times you want to loop, then it will hit enter.
-
now just copy and paste the amount, click subtract fee from amount, and send it to yourself.
-
after you get the required confirmations, all those individual pieces should be consolidated into one in the coin control inputs window and you'll be able to send any amount from there to anyone. This is a simple solution that should only take a couple minutes to consolidate your coins even if you're a dumb like me but have thousands of transactions from mining.
