Wait for Coffee/Cannon/Ice Lake vs Zen/Zen2

Hi r/buildapc,

I am currently deciding on what processor to grab and still can not decide. I will be pairing with a 1080ti which I already own. I am currently on a locked i7 2600 and I game + code/other things that use extra cores. Is it worth for me to jump on a 1700 now or wait for Zen2/Coffee/Cannon/Ice lake. I'm fine with waiting but I don't want to wait if performance increases are going to be like 6700k to 7700k increases.

What do you guys think?
