*Serious* Asking for a 'friend.' inside info about going into the Travis County jail.

A buddy of mine is going to report to Travis County jail. I am surprised how little information is online about what to expect. What to take or what not to take. Is it best to walk in with nothing? What can a supporting friend can do? Duration? Two weeks.
