Set submachine guns to fully automatic by default on pick-up?

Who knows how many times we've picked up a sub, reloaded, forgot to switch to burst or fully automatic, proceed to your next gun fight only to have that soul crushing single "click" and realise you've lost the gunfight before you're already dead! I know it's our own fault for being forgetful but I hey, who exactly uses a sub over an assault rifle for anything other that close/short ranges! Should it be changed or should we be punished for something so simple?
