Are my Nike Pegasus Zoom 34 (Long ass name) suitable for cross-country?

I got some of these gorgeous bad boys for my birthday and in preparation for October (To join my university team) I have been doing cross-country at my local team. To be safe, are they suitable for this sort of pace and terrain?
