As others have said, we need to use this. Now is the time.

I think it's time to start organizing a large rally in the Washington Mall. Occupy Washington D.C. Next Fourth of July maybe, if not sooner? To show that those who truly believe in equality, compassion, and the ideals advocated in the Declaration of Independence, are united against the rising tide of hatred and fascism. That there are more of us than there are of them. That we are not ignorant to the fact that our government is irreparably corrupted, that they are no longer a body by the people, for the people and have not been for quite some time. And that the line is drawn here. This far, no farther.

And then I think we need to march down to the white house and the capital and shut it down. Peacefully, a sit in of some kind, and list our demands with a unified voice. Universal healthcare. Term limits. No more lobbyists, no more super PACs. Free education. Pin them up on the door of the capital. There is an undercurrent happening out there, and I fear that if this side doesn't seize upon that and do everything they can to act to bring change soon, the growing tide of fascism, the very existence of which is almost unbelievable, will swallow us all, and set us back generations.

Just a seed I wanted to plant. I'm sure others have talked about it, I just wanted to throw my hat in as support.

"There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part! And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop!! And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it - that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!"
