How do i not die by Ecstasy?

I read about the effects of ecstasy on the body. For the next 8 hours you have the best high. I have never taken drugs before but i do want to try ecstasy. However i read that a lot of people died from using it. Also, i dont have any reliable drug sources at the moment. So how do i take ecstasy and stay alive? What is the reason people die? Thank you.
