Apprentice Training Pay Withheld

My girlfriend is currently in the last couple of weeks of her apprenticeship, she is spending more time at the academy trying to complete units and her employer is saying that they aren't going to pay her for these days.

However, from my research I can see this on the government website: "You must pay your apprentice for time spent training or studying for their apprenticeship, whether while at work or at a college or training organisation." https://www.gov.uk/take-on-an-apprentice/pay-and-conditions-for-apprentices

Am I right in believing that they should be paying her for these days?
