Question about the term Tomboy

As a kid a lot of people used the term Tomboy to differentiate between girly girls and them self, in a non trans way. But my question is do trans people find offence in people using the term Tomboy these days? Also how many people who are FTM used to use the term Tomboy as a kid? I was definitely a Tomboy as a kid yet still did the odd girly thing, but I am 100% a female and identify as such. Would Tomboy be a bad term for kids to use these days?
