[Advice Needed] Getting started doing Henna as a business
Hello all,
A friend of mine is a very talented, passionate, creative artist, and she's been getting really into Henna for quite sometime now, and has done some craft fairs and other small gatherings and also small parties for friends.
Now she is making a website and advertising more for her work and making it into a business that she'll do in her time she isn't working her normal job.
I'm looking to help her get started and just looking for some basic starting tips.
I've researched and looked at other websites that people have for their own Henna business, but we have discussed pricing and what's the best way to price the Henna so that it's competitive, while also being fair compensation, and a good price for the customer.
In your experience for example, is it best to charge by the hour or per person, or by design? And if it's per hour or, for example, one idea we were discussing was making a "Party" type package where it would be like $25-$30 each for up to 5 people.
That could be good but also could be bad if not 'framed' correctly. In other words, what kind of terms would be good to set? Her concern is obviously, time. She doesn't want someone to go in paying $25 and expecting huge, elaborate pieces, or multiple pieces and areas etc.
So, any tips you could give me so I could help my friend get started in her new venture would be much appreciated. :)
Thank you all in advance <3
