Do 17Z-7 advice?

so i've lately started working back a bit in the tech tree and using some planes i overlooked. i found that the do17Z has some amazing potential, but im not quite sure how to use it.

What ive found so far is that its an amazing bomber hunter. because of that spawn and the 20mm air targets, its lethal as hell. but still, ground pounding and even mid altitude combat leaves you vulnerable. Im continuously hounded by hurricanes that sit on my tail and rinse my gunners, so does anyone have any tips on good ways to use this effectively?
