Has anyone ever noticed that the entire game is chronologically backwards?

I know I've seen it discussed with the dlc, but I had this theory in mind during a recent play through and it seemed to hold water.

The game starts with Yharnam and the hunt, which are definitely the most recent events to transpire. And the game ends with the death of the first hunter.

As stated earlier the DLC is definitely told in reverse order. Starting at the blood drunk hunters, it then follows the river of blood to the sacrificed children, and closes with the village who discovered the first true Great One (Eberiatas is a human who ascended.)

I think that this helps us build a more precise timeline of events. There are arguments about where exactly certain factions come into the limelight, but if all of the events take place in the reverse of the areas that open up to be explored this could be a closed case.

I don't want to post a wall of text, but one implication of this is that Yahar'gul, Unseen Village is a major player from the start of the events, but remains hidden and is probably the puppeteer of everyone from the College to the Church. Since, they are a mandatory place towards the end of the game, but only a secret optional area earlier in the game.
