A New experience
First and foremost, I just want to say that my fiance and I are relatively new to the polyamorous lifestyle... So if I do not get the terminology correct, please forgive me and kindly correct me in any error of terms.
My fiance and I are no strangers to the swinging lifestyle, but both of us felt there was something missing. We both wanted more than just sex. We wanted something special. I personally have always wanted the best of both world's: A male partner and a female partner. But I knew that finding one good partner in this world is hard enough.
Anyway, I am horrible at dating, but figured what the heck, why not create a few online profiles of myself/ joint profiles of my fiance and I together, and just see what happens? I had better luck talking to girls on the profile made just for myself, and discussed it with my finance who, in turn said that it was fine with him that I date seperately, that he would be happy knowing that I am happy.
I had met one girl(Girl X) who wanted more of a friends with benefits type of situation, which was fine for me... but about 2 weeks into it, the girl turned out to have severe mental health issues and ended up breaking my heart and causing more drama than the situation was worth. She played me for a fool and led me to believe things could actually work out with us as a couple. I'm glad I got out of that mess before I got hurt anymore than I already had.
During that whole fiasco, I had met another girl (Girl Y) and was talking to her and trying to establish a friendship with her. I liked her, but put things with her on a back burner, because of everything happening with Girl X.
Weeks after the Girl X incident, I ended up talking to Girl Y again. And almost immediately we hit it off. We had several chats about polyamory. Via these conversations, I found out that she was interested in and wanted to be apart of a triad... I was surprised. Never thought I would meet a girl interested in that. We continued talking and did a video chat or two, just us. Those video chats gave me confirmation on how much I actually liked her. Then came up the subject of introducing her to my fiance. The three of us video chatted and the two of them actually liked each other too. We as a group decided to meet in person...
Two weeks after our first meeting, she expressed wanting to become our girlfriend. We agreed that that's how we felt too. And here we are Girl Y is dating us both. There are some concerns that I have however. One being that she has never slept with a woman before. We have had sex, but it is somewhat awkward on her part. She seems very nervous, and unsure of how to please me, and is very hesitant when performing any sex acts on me. She has no problem receiving though. This bothers me a bit, but I have been very understanding and try my best to be patient about it. I'm much more of a pleaser anyway. I just suppose I want a little more effort on her part.
Aside from this, she is also younger than both of us by 6 years or more. So I know there is a slight difference of maturity and experience between my fiance and I and her. I almost forgot to mention that she is a mother to a young child. My fiance and I have never really been kid people... but we found we care for her son a lot. Just worry what kind of influence this relationship will have on him...
All of this is very, very new to all of us. I really like her and have hope for this relationship. I'm excited and scared and want nothing more than for this to work. How do we make this work? How do we not mess this up? So many worries and thoughts. How do we approach dates? She is dating us together and seperately at the same time. How does that work? She wants to be with us exclusively. Are when then a closed triad? What happens when she wants to date someone else? How do we handle jealousy? I intend to marry my fiance. How does that affect her? These are just some of the things going through my mind and things my fiance and I have discussed. If anyone has any advice, that would be great. I'm open to hear any and all suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
