Just got my X260 and am really happy with it
It is great! I got it for travelling and maybe it is fit for me, the reason there aren't any photos is that I left my phone in France...
I don't know if I should clean out the insides of the laptop, maybe replace the thermal paste. Can someone give me their idle and load temperatures with room temperatures for a good clean laptop so I can check? The laptop has never been opened. Running Linux.
smartctl /dev/sda -a | less
says that the raw value for power on hours is 43 for the hard drive but that power cycle count is 388, assuming this is about sleep states or something.
Is it worth recompiling the kernel for battery stuff or schedulers or building in kernel modules so it boots faster maybe?
Do I need to be concerned about programs waking up the computer?
Still got a few more things to do that I'll get round to like figuring out how to do power managment properly (TLP/Powertop?) and figuring out how to undervolt a few centivolts. I should probably make the lenovo logo last less time.
Edit: I really am happy with the resolution. My favourite laptop resolution prior to that (I had) was... 1024x768 on my old old x61 because the extra space on 1366x768 I didn't care about that much as the height was too low.
My terminal fonts really excite me.
Using i3, I just end up using tmux.
