[EVENT] Otter conservation

The Marine otter is an otter species that inhabits the southern coastlines of South America and has been considered threatened for several decades mostly do to poaching, which has driven them out of the Falklands and much of Argentina. Chile Peru and Argentina all have strict anti-poaching laws however there is a serious lack of enforcement in these laws. As such the United Kingdom plans to relocate several wild otters pups from Chile and Peru to the Falkland Islands where anti-Poaching laws can more easily be enforced. We currently plan to relocate 40 pups from South America to the Falklands, this number is expected to be 160 by 2040 and 550 by 2045.
