Titanium Bikes

What are your opinions on custom made titanium bikes? What components would you recommend on the custom build? If you have a titanium bike, how long have you been riding it and how many miles do you approximately have on it? For those who swear against them, why do you do so? What is the biggest difference between titanium frames and steel frames besides price? Thank you for taking your time and answering any of the above questions.
