PAL/NTCS

So, I feel a bit stupid. I was visiting my grandparents in Italy last month and they had a bunch of VHS tapes they couldn't watch because their VCR was broken. I promised to send them a VCR so they can watch all their tapes...

Well, today I discover (after purchasing a NTCS VCR) that Italy uses the PAL system.. Is there any way possible to play the tapes on that vcr? This is the VCR I bought

They already have a power converter over there because of all the times my family visits, so power isn't an issue. I just never knew there were 2 different recording systems.

But now my cousin is here from Italy and he returns on August 26 and my oldest brother is going on September 1. So I have 9-14 days to fix this problem. I already thought of buying a PAL VHS but none will arrive in time. Any help will be greatly appreciated
