[BUG] Cannot launch game after every patch

Ever since the Steam launch I get an error after every new patch saying "Some files could not be created." Then I have to go through the process of verifying all the files through steam, changing the permissions on my steam folders, restarting my computer a dozen times, and finally giving up and reinstalling the game from scratch.

If this is a new investigation mission, I have to say it's pretty boring, involves almost no lore, and I don't even get xp from it. I'd also prefer not to repeat it every week. Thank you.
