510 thread atomizer or dedicated device?

My budget is about £60 so I was wondering whether or not I'm better off getting a dry herb atomizer (given that I already own a SMOK ALIEN) or buying a whole new weed vaping device. I've read a lot of other threads that say buying a dry herb atomizer isnt worth it because they burn the weed, is this true? Also is there a significant drop in the taste/quality of the vapor and how high it gets you?
