Week 1 Comic Idea (Needs Assessment)

Which Witch

1st page (Set up) -A little witch arrives at a witches convention. All of the other witches are very serious with their witchly garb, broomsticks, and crooked noses, but she is a modern little witch and all she has is her smartphone. She is very excited because this is her first time at a big time witches gathering and she is very eager to meet everyone and see everything. But she has come to the witches convention for one purpose, to promote her new app called “Which Witch.”

2nd page (Build up) She pitches her app, but no one is interested at all. She finds herself shoved aside by witches eager to buy the newest cauldrons and most stylish hats. So, she ends up sitting outside on the curb, feeling defeated. There, she finds two other witches who are also looking dejected.

3rd page ( Problem) Being a kindly witch, she asks them what is bothering them and finds that the first witch has a whole litter of kittens that she can't seem to find homes for and the second witch has an old broomstick that she needs to sell, but can't find a buyer for.

4th page (Resolution) The little witch brightens up because she feels that her app can help. That's what it's for. It takes ad submissions and then broadcasts them into all of the networked crystal balls so that witches all over the world can see what other witches are selling. Soon, all of the kittens have homes with very appreciative witches and the other witch has sold her broomstick. The little modern witch becomes the talk of the convention and has found a solution to their problems.
