[DH2] Dodging multiple attacks.

With attacks like Semi-Auto, Full-Auto, Psychic Barrage and Psychic Storm, additional attacks are made based on DoS.
However, they have a maximum number that can be made. Guns, by the weapon itself, Psychic abilities by Psy Rating. (I'm unsure off hand if Swift/Lightning attack is limited in the same way).

So a question arose last night when dodging these attacks:

Does the Defender have to match the DoS made by the attacker, even if each of those DoS did not lead to an attack?
ie: Attacker rolls 7 DoS, but limited to 4 attacks.
Does the defender need to make 4 DoS to dodge each attack, or 7 to match the attacker's DoS?
