Sierra or High-sierra Hi-DPI fix?

So I upgraded to Sierra from ElCap about a year ago and lost my ability to output to two 1440p monitors on my rMBP 15". I re-tried running Sierra several months ago and it still wasn't fixed. Has this been fixed in High Sierra? Or Sierra? I would really like to upgrade OS, but I lose necessary functionality in the process.
