Just finished watching Mad Men, the cinematography has to be one of the best in a TV show.
After watching all 7 seasons, I was so amazed with the acting, writing, soundtrack and the authenticity of the 60s and early 70s was great. But the thing the stand out was the cinematography of each episode. Each light and dark scene felt like a Edward Hooper painting or a William Eggleston photo come to life. The transition between each scene was so smooth and beautiful. The signature pull in and pull out camera shots were my favorite parts in Mad Men. I would nominate this as my first choice for cinematography in a TV show.
