Interested in sailing, getting out on the water.

Hello Redditors in Jacksonville,

I've recently moved to town and am interested to get involved in some sailing. I don't have a boat. I'm aware of the Rudder Club, but don't really know what they do. I've crewed some yacht deliveries and pleasure cruises in Southern FL, but don't have a good feel for where most of the sailing goes on here locally. Anyone point me in the right direction as far as crewing opportunities, places with regular races or just open-ended advice. What's the best/most affordable way to get out on the water on the regular?

I'm open-minded to motor-boating as well, I just haven't done much of it. I imagine there are some interesting spots in the skinny water of the marshes and mangroves.
