Advice on light boxes?

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I've had dspd since I was born but was prescribed amitriptyline at the age of 21 (I am now 35). Prior to this it would take me at least 6 hours of trying to get to sleep to actually fall asleep and I always got to sleep around 6am only after having been trying since midnight or earlier. With the amitriptyline I have more control but rarely get 8 hours unless I stick to my 6am to 2pm routine, except it no longer takes 6 hours for me to get to sleep, which is a big improvement! I can usually fall asleep within an hour.

I have built my life around this pattern but would like to try once again to shift it as I would like to have children and want to be there to do stuff with them earlier in the day. It is also causing issues with my work. I am freelance today and was offered three jobs today but missed out on them all because I wasn't up until well after the offers came in.

The only time in my life when I slept normally was when I lived in Spain (I am from Scotland where I am back living now). For a long time I thought I slept well in Spain because I didn't have access to a TV or computer after about 6pm and spent many years trying to restrict this at night time back in Scotland, but it never worked (I can also typically use my computer/tv until right up to bedtime and so long as I have amitriptyline to knock me out.

I now believe it was the sunshine in Spain that really helped and while I rarely get much sunshine in Scotland I do find myself getting tired earlier if I am exposed to some during the day. So I am trying to figure out which light box to buy.

Does anyone have any tips? There are so many on the market. It just needs to do what sunshine does. I don't think it matters what time of day I am exposed to it.
