Ranked Division Impact On Ultimate Team Opponent?

My ranked division is 5 at 173 - 94. My ultimate team fighter is 67 overall in Division 1with a record of 5 - 16.. I keep facing opponents that have much higher overall skill levels. Out of my last ten fights three were an evenly matched overall the rest were at least ten points higher overall. Is matchmaking taking my ranked Division into account when searching for an ultimate team opponent? I'm feeling very outclassed and ready to give up.. I can't figure out why all of my opponents have better moves and attributes. Thanks.
