Is soulbeast a better core ranger?

Hey guys,

granted we have not played the specialisation yet. However, from what i could gather from the livestream, it seems to me like the soulbeast is just core ranger plus its very own special abilities. I probably missed something but it looks like the soulbeast doesn't lose anything compared to core ranger.

What do you guys think? Have i missed something?
