Do you think the Galaxy map needs to be more "serious"?

In the current state, the things that really boggle my mind:

• The map doesn't have a coordinate system at all
• Doesn't have a search function
• The UI is extremely disorienting, it constantly rotates for no reason when selecting a target
• You can't waypoint planets
• You can't remove waypoints (is this function really not that obvious?)
• The planets have no compass

I mean, a space game without coordinates, even something basic like x,y,z. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Just borrow some map design from Elite Dangerous and slap some compass thingy in the upper part of the UI (it can even be a visor upgrade) and we're golden. Nobody will even think about buying the never releasing Start Citizen.

Or am I missing the point here? Is the game supposed to be disorienting to poetically wander around looking at things in ave without any kind of direction feeling?

Anyway, I'm loving the game and this is not a dis thread in any way. I'm really missing the game discussion in this sub. I swear, it's like a facebook page where people only post pictures of their kids, pets and vacations. This sub needs some gameplay and game mechanic discussion.
