What are some good examples of the Aside and Status post formats?

I'm building a new theme and have never really implemented post formats. Most of them are pretty straightforward (ie: video formats should show a video) but I'm unsure how to approach Asides and Statuses.

They are just text right? Only shorter than a normal blog post? Why not just you know, make a blog post with a mere 140 characters? I'm no designer so I am having trouble deciding how to make these post formats any different than a regular (standard) post.

I'm thinking about just not including them in my theme, but before I do I was wondering if anyone had some good examples of these.
