Anyone ever build or find a hobby-sized grain/mash separator? Example link in post.
I just read through this post about straining your mash and thought this question might warrant a separate post.
Has anyone built or found a hobbyist sized solid/liquid separator like they use commercially? Like this, but on a garage scale
I've seen the homemade ones that use a painter's screen and orbital sander to shake the mash. That looks workable and affordable, but not as effective as the old grain bag and mop bucket approach.
Are there any other methods, or does anyone have any ideas for new designs we could all tinker with? Can some other piece of equipment be modified to work? Maybe an old meat grinder???
