Slow and steady...

It's been awhile since I have been in this forum lurking or posting. I have just been on my journey and loving every single minute of it!!

First of all, there are a lot of people who just drop the weight like crazy. Not this girl! I started in mid December. The 12th to be exact at 239 lbs. my highest ever was 276! I'm 5'6. I at at 207. My goal is 175! Trust me, I'm excited about my progress. My clothes keep getting smaller and smaller. I started at size 18 jeans and I'm in 10s! I actually tried some 8s and they fit. I need to stop buying clothes until I'm at my maintenance weight! I was happy to be at size 14. Then 12. Then 10. Haha I think I'll be good at 6.

The biggest NSV of them all is that I went in to my yearly checkup with my doctor and he was sooo impressed. He was like you've lost weight. I sure did! He had me go get an echo to check my heart. He called me as soon as the results came in and said every thing is normal! Good job. I got blood work and this was the first time in years but, everything came back normal!!! For my A1C, at one point, I was over 12! Last year, it was 11.4. He told me he would be ok with me if I was at 7. My results came back and I was 5.4! In your face doctor lol I said "and you thought I couldn't get under 7! He said keep doing what you're doing! You are going a great job. Back in 2014, I check my glucose and it was 346! Wtf. Last night when I was at the doctors, they checked and it was 82....

I do work out regularly so I know that's why my weight loss isn't as much. I do crossfit 2x a week and barbell/heavy lifting 2x a week. I have recently added extra cardio. I do IF during the week. Also, I'm not as strict as others. I DO cheat and eat carbs but, I am not one of those to end up bingeing. I just need to be able to do something that will work for the long run. I do log my food in MFP. I calculate my macros monthly. I take photos every month to see my progress.

I'm happy I found this lifestyle. It's made me healthier, stronger, and just a better version.

Onederland, I'm coming for you!

I have a before and after picture on my IG. (cphan1)
