I want to work with people and children who have ADD, Autism and Learning or Behavioral Disorders - Which path should I take?
Hello Redditors,
I would love some career advice if you have the time. I know generally what I want to do but I am just unsure of which path I should take to make it happen.
My dream job would be to work with individuals that have ADD, Autism or other learning disorders and behaviors.
I am a non-traditional student that went to a bunch of different schools. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in general studies with a sociology and criminal justice specialization. I absolutely love sociology so I was thinking about taking the Licensed Clinical Social Worker route but I am not sure if that is the best option as there are so many options out there. The LCSW is one of them but I was also thinking about Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BACB) or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Do any of you have any other ideas or knowledge you could share?
Thank you so much!
