Elém - the World.

This is the first post of a series of posts regarding the 5e campaign world and the events that take place on it. This first post will be about the planet itself.

Prasinos is just one continent that exists on its planet. It is known as the Smelter, the Greed of Tharizdun, The Gift of Nature, and most commonly, Elém. The name derives from the fact that Elém is a 4½-dimensional planet existing at the converging point of the four elemental planes. Residents of the planet naturally only move throughout the 3 dimensions of length, width, and depth. In order to access the fourth dimension known as the Cradle, or the convergence zone of the elemental planes, the resident must be attuned to the power through fae or fiend, or some greater being of such a power. Some students of Elém, also known as druids, gain the ability through studying natural magic for a lifetime. The last dimension that exists is a demi-plane, that traps the Great Old One known as Tharizdun.

Elém has twelve continents, though of those only 3 are extraordinarily large and populated. It is difficult to travel across the. large bodies of water on the planet, as great beasts from the Water Plane reside near the surface of the ocean, fearing the even greater being that resides within the depths. The names of the continents are, in order of size, Prasinos, Okeanos, Sahchara, Iphaesteio, Aedahfos, Mesaío, Psomeno, Skotahdi, Skiyah, Nevmah and Mikro.
