Troubleshooting EA3500 as an AP
I have read multiple guides and posts, but I'm lost on my wireless setup. I have a Cisco Linksys EA3500 that needs to go behind a working PFsense router.
My net looks like this: Modem > PfSense > LAN + WiFi
Interfaces: WAN -> nfe0 -> xx.xx.xxx.xxx/22 LAN -> bce1 -> 192.168.1.1/24 Wifi (opt1) -> bce0 -> 192.168.1.2/24
I attempted to turn the Linksys to bridge mode by disabling DCHP... And I think I ran into problems with the Linksys Smart WiFi settings. There seemed to be 2 tabs to enable/disable DCHP on the router, and one requires a static IP, subnet, gateway, etc. while the other effectively shut off the linksys web GUI by disabling DCHP...
Meanwhile, there is no interface available under the Interfaces/Wireless/Edit options in the PfSense Web GUI either. I thought that's where I would look to set up the AP, no?
Should I install DD-WRT into the router to simplify this, or am I just making this needlessly complicated?
