No Matte White PH1 Forthcoming

Not sure if this has been mentioned previously somewhere, but the matte white version of the PH1 that Andy showed in the May reveal will not see the light of day.

I contacted Essential support, asking when the Stellar Grey version would be available (it "will be announced at a later date on Essential.com") and I also asked about the matte white version of the phone:

There is not a matte white version of the phone planned at this time. The phone that was being displayed at the reveal was a prototype that the company decided not to continue with.

Too bad really, I had the matte white as my number one choice, followed by Stellar Grey :(
