Got hit by a car today!

As I was riding up to an intersection a car approached on my right. Car stopped at the stop sign and I proceeded through in front of it. Then suddenly the car gunned it and slammed right into the side of me. My bike took the brunt of the impact and I ejected onto the hood of the car. My fork is carbon fibre and it got shattered. As far as I can tell that is the only damage done. I don't think I have any injuries but my wrist hurts a bit. The lady took me back to her place and ordered a replacement fork, said I could stay until the fork arrives. Super friendly and helpful. Hopefully nothing else is broken, panniers are showing some scrapes. This is about my sixth bicycle tour and the first incident. She said she couldn't see me because of the sun and there was tall grass obscuring the intersection. It surprised the shit out of me, my first impression was she did it on purpose. Anyways I have been dreaming of doing some thru-hikes and I think it's time to try it out. Stay safe.
