Can't see cursor in Fullscreen

As of yesterday, I can no longer see my cursor while playing DOTA, in-game or in the menu. I looked for answers online, but the only solutions offered were to verify the integrity of the game cache, uninstall and reinstall, disable cursor shadow and/or trails, or switch to borderless windowed mode. I verified twice, everything checked out. I uninstalled and reinstalled, all the cursor files seem to be in the right place, and I did not have any extra cursor options on to begin with. Borderless Windowed mode makes the cursor visible, but since I switched to it I've been getting frequent lag spikes, poor framerate. I changed nothing else, then i turned my graphics settings down, but the framerate has not improved. I'm not sure if this is because of the switch to windowed mode, but I would like to be able to go back to fullscreen and see my cursor. Any suggestions?
