Can manic depression or psychosis cause not auditory hallucinations but... Inturisve mages?

I have had this for years. I'd think about something, sometimes unwillingly, like failing university, or having to drop out, and images would just flash in front of me: Me crying in fetal position, me working in my old workplace again (where I was subjected to mental abuse) and finally... me having hung myself like my uncle. Stuff like that

The interesting thing is, It's much like how experts and people with psychosis describe what hearing voices is like, only... I have it with intrusive images, and weaker version of the emotions associated with the happenings in them.

Is this possible, or is it an different mental illness entirely?
