Can't enable 144hz

• Current Monitor Model Name: LG 24GM79G

• Issue: Cannot select 144hz

I just got a new monitor and I can't enable 144hz, I'm using a displayport cable, windows 10, and a gtx950.

144hz is not available in windows display settings and when I create a custom resolution with 144hz on the nvidia control panel it disappears right after I test it.

I have the latest GPU drivers and I installed the monitor drivers.

Am I doing something wrong?
