Just a weird idea I had about leaks

Note, there are minor unconfirmed spoilers that don't pertain to the new operation coming up in this post. I would mark this as spoiler, but the spoilers are so minor, and this is more of a discussion than anything.

What if some things that are "leaked" (like Bandit and Jager losing ACOG) aren't actual leaks, and they are intentionally "leaked" by Ubisoft to gauge community feed back? If the community likes it, they continue with it, but if the community dislikes it, they don't do it, and everyone assumes it to be a fake leak.

I'm obviously not saying this is true, nor am I able to put forward any evidence. I'm just wondering what you all think about this idea.
