Mk4 won't start. Battery and starter are fine.

I have manual mk4 Jetta with a 1.8t motor and it won't start. It tries and you can hear it trying to crank but it won't turn over. The electrical system is fine the battery is new and I had it boosted just to be sure. Starter works as well and can hear and see on the dash all the electrical systems are working. I think it might be the fuel delivery system like the pump or filter but I want to hear from other vw owners before I jump to any conclusions. If I've forgotten any info please ask for it I'll gladly give you any info on it. Thank you for any and all help

Edit: it was a shot relay! Thank you to all the lovely people here and in r/Jetta you are all very helpful people!

Edit 2: relay was stot black so when I replaced it with another one the car still won't start I'm so confused now.
